Psychodynamic Counselling and Analytical Psychology
Based on Jungian Analysis, this is a method to access, experience, and integrate unconscious material and bring it into consciousness. It is a search for the meaning of behaviors, feelings, and events.
This type of therapy helps to bring an awareness of the factors influencing how a person relates to the sum of their psychological, interpersonal, and cultural experiences—finding the underlying factors causing distortions.
Psychodynamic Counselling helps understand long-standing struggles from the past, allowing the client to become more self-aware and bring what is unconscious into consciousness. It emphasizes that many of the personal issues in life are the result of hidden mental processes. If successful, the client may gain insight and understanding into the previously unknown aspects and be able to see how these are affecting the present life.
